Walter Earnest Sloan

Walter Earnest Sloan, age 87, of Maryville, died Thursday, March 14, 2023 at Foothills Transitional Care & Rehab.

Walter enjoyed talking to everyone and didn’t know a stranger.  He was an entrepreneur, hard worker, and provided for his family.   He also took great pride  in Pathfinders for the Youth and stayed heavily involved. Most of all, he loved his kids.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jennette Sloan; infant twins; son, Walter Sloan II; brother, Morgan Sloan; parents, Ewell & Ollie Sloan.

Survivors include his sons, Randy Sloan and LanDonye Rob Sloan (Ginger); daughters, Pamela DeGraw, Carrie Jo Sloan, Voni Anderson(Anthony); 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
