Timothy Ray Franklin, age 62, of Walland, died Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the family home, surrounded by his loved ones.
A lifelong farmer at heart, he grew up on a farm and was an officer in the FFA. His passion for agriculture led him to work at Blount & Rockford Co-Op, where he formed lasting connections in the community.
A man of faith, he was guided by his Christian beliefs in every aspect of his life. He lovingly cared for his first wife through over 20 years of illness and remained devoted to her children and grandchildren after her passing. He was a loving husband to Laura, and they shared a deep companionship built on love and support. He was also a devoted brother, uncle, and grandfather, cherishing the close bond he shared with them. In all things, he embodied the values of hard work, faith, dedication, and a selfless love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Salley Garner, Henry and Della Franklin, and his first wife, Robin Franklin.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Franklin; his parents, Bill and Phyllis Franklin; his grandchildren, Jonathan Harley and Jenny Field; his brother, Jeff Franklin; his nephew, Jesse (Sandy) Franklin; and his grand-nephews, Anna and Henry.
A private family gathering and viewing will be held. Cremation Done Properly under the care of Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation, Wildwood (865-984-5959). Online condolences and memories may be shared at dotsonfuneralhome.com.
