Thomas Richard "Tucker" Kelly Jr.

Thomas Richard ‘Tucker' Kelly Jr., age 72, of Knoxville, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Tennova North. Tom served as an Executive in Retail Management, most recently at Goody's Clothing. He was a very hard worker and driven to achieve his goals. He also made himself available as a mentor to help others succeed in their plans and share his wisdom. In his spare time, he treasured time with his family, enjoying such activities as playing cards, telling stories, and watching college football. He had a special love affair with the water; living near it and spending much time fishing, skiing, and just enjoying it with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Kathleen Kelly Sr.; and two baby angels who now reside in heaven. Survivors include his loving spouse, Linda Ray Kelly; longtime companion and mother to his children, Faye Kelly; son, Tom (Mandy) Kelly III of Cookeville; daughters, Dr. Rebecca (Albert) Kelly Cardona of Kingston, Kathleen (Garner) Karnes of Knoxville; sisters, Mary (Terry) Sullivan, Becky (Dr. Jerry) McLane, Ellen Elliot; brother, Bobby (Angie) Kelly, all of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Emma Kelly, Myka Winningham, Makaili Kelly, Macie Kelly, Maggie Nola Kelly, Jesse Kelly Cardona, Ava Karnes, Ella Rose Karnes. Memorial Mass will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 1728 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209 with Father Martin Muller officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.
