Theresa Ann (Millard) Lea

Theresa Ann Millard Lea, 68, soared from this earthly kingdom on 8/31/24, surrounded by love in her home. Ann is survived by sons Gavin Kane and Luke Lea (daughter-in-law Ruochen Bo), sister Sally Millard (Bruno Somala), niece Fran Tait (Asa), nephew John Camperlino (Sarah), four great-niblings and a host of loving friends. Ann was raised in Chattanooga but called Nashville home, forging connections through her work in special education, her involvement with Second Presbyterian Church, and walks in city parks. Many thanks go to her community of support, including church families at Second Presbyterian and at St. James Episcopal Church of Knoxville. The family have been blessed by friends who gave tirelessly their gifts of self, as well as the staff of UT Hospice, particularly Dr. Pearman, Megan Browning, and Erin McMillan.

A service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church on September 14 at 11:00 with Rev. Melissa Tidwell, Rev. Stacy Rector, and Fr. John Mark Wiggers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Tennesseans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, the Tennessee Equality Project, or the Friends of Radnor Lake.
