Susan Pamela Hopson, age 70, of Maryville, died unexpectedly at her family home.
Susan was strong-willed and independent, truly marching to the beat of her own drummer. She was a very special person—non-judgmental, free-spirited, and someone who accepted others just as they were.
She had a deep love for the water, especially the beach, where she found peace and happiness. Susan was devoted to her animals, caring for them with a gentle and loving heart. She also enjoyed 70s rock and roll, which matched her vibrant and independent spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Hopson, and her parents, Jim and Ruth Howe.
Survivors include her brother, Ed Howe (Deborah); nephews, Andy Howe (Nikki), Chris Howe (Amanda); and foster child, Niki Gilley.
