Ricky Foister

Richard Alan “Ricky” Foister, age 55, of Maryville, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Prisma Blount Memorial Hospital.

Ricky loved his mother dearly and had a special devotion to his nieces and nephews, never missing a ballgame or event for them. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards, especially rook and rummy.

He was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves, Dale Earnhardt, and UT sports. Ricky loved going out to eat, spending time at family gatherings, and making sure no one could outdo him—he always wanted to be on top.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Foister.

Survivors include his father, Rick “Frosty” Foister; brothers, Randy Foister (Amy), Robby Foister (Trissie); nephews, Ethan (Gabby), Owen, and Emmet; nieces, Averie (Austin), Claire, Alyvia, and Emerie; and great-niece, Korra.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel. Cremation will take place afterwards.
