Rhonda Walker Finley

Rhonda Juanita Walker Finley gained her wings on September 11, 2026, at the age of 68. Rhonda was born in Louisiana on February 8, 1958, to William "Buster" Walker and Shirley "Nita" Pennington Walker. She was the second oldest of five children.

As the daughter of a Navy serviceman, Rhonda moved frequently throughout her childhood. She graduated from high school in Louisiana and later made her home in Maryville, Tennessee, where she resided at the time of her passing. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Rhonda loved to shop and especially enjoyed finding a good deal. Purple was her favorite color, and she loved sharing stories about her grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "Memaw." Rhonda was a kind and gentle person with the sweetest smile, one she was always willing to share with those around her. She had a joyful, childlike spirit that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, David Finley; son-in-law, Kenny Oldham; parents, William and Shirley Walker; and brothers, William Walker Jr. and Tony Walker.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Jill Oldham of Alcoa; sister, Kimberly Lane (Tony) of North Charleston, South Carolina; brother, David Scott Walker of Jonesboro, Louisiana; grandsons, Colton Smith of Maryville, and Walker Oldham and Nash Trusty, both of Alcoa; great-grandson, Camden Smith of Harriman; bonus granddaughter, Jessica Newman (Brandon), and bonus great-granddaughter, Lainey Newman, both of Knoxville; and her best friend of more than 50 years, Janice Tippen of West Monroe, Louisiana. She also leaves behind beloved aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the nurses and staff at Fairpark Rehabilitation, whom Rhonda considered not only her caregivers but also her friends.

Rhonda's sweet smile, loving heart, and joyful spirit will live on in the memories of all those who were blessed to know and love her.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00  PM  on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation with Ethan Foister, officiating..
