Norma Elaine Markland-Summers, age 61, of Alcoa, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Norma worked as a home health nurse, until becoming disabled. She loved animals of any kind, especially her dogs. She also enjoyed yard sales and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Virginia Honeycutt; brother, Bill McDaniel. Survivors include her husband, Don Summers; son, Jeff (Ami) Markland of Elizabethton; daughter, Savannah Summers of Maryville; grandson, Chase Markland; brothers, Jeff Honeycutt of Maryville, Phillip Honeycutt of Johnson City; sister, Debra Livingston of Atlanta; niece, Elizabeth Livingston; beloved dog, Patches. Graveside Ceremony will be at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, with the Rev. Keith Ross, officiating.
