Mildred 'Millie' Lavaughn Downer

Mildred Lavaughn (Millie) Downer, age 84, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2024.
Millie was born November 16, 1939 in Golden Pond, KY to Marvie and Eugene Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Floyd David; sister, Carol McNeely (Bruce); brother, Jerry Thompson; son, Bobby Garner.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Ron Downer; four children, David, Bobby, and Jimmy Garner; Amy Bauldwin; several grandchildren; sister, Jan McDonald; sister-in-law, Eleanor Payne.
Ron and Millie attended Alcoa First Methodist Church as faithful members and loved serving in the choir. Millie loved reading her bible and was a dedicated witness for the Lord. She loved her kittycats and Ron's talent for cooking.
