Melissa Faye Boring, age 50, of Madisonville, formerly of Maryville, died Friday, March 27, 2026, at Parkwest Medical Center.
Melissa was known for speaking her mind and standing her ground. She was a simple person who enjoyed the little things in life, but she had a strong spirit and a big heart. She loved shopping, spending time outdoors, and especially her Mustang.
Melissa had a fun-loving personality—she enjoyed cutting up, making others laugh, and truly living life to the fullest. Above all, she loved her family fiercely and would do anything to protect and stand up for them.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy “Lu” Reagan, and stepmother, Penny Cole.
Survivors include her husband, Max Boring; son, Robert Boring; father, Keith Russell; brother, Dee Russell; nieces, Allison and Jayda Russell; great-niece, Paisley Russell; stepsister, Maggie Cole; mother-in-law, Shelby Boring; several cousins and extended family members; and many friends.
A graveside ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Old Piney Cemetery with Pastor Rick Smelcer officiating.
