Kenneth Oldham Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Joseph Oldham of Alcoa, Tennessee, gained his wings on February 1, 2025, at the age of 59. Kenny fought a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Germany on May 4, 1965, to John Oldham and Frances Shaffer Oldham, he was the middle child of five children. At the age of 46, he reconnected with and fell in love with Jill Finley, the love of his life. They were married in March 2013. They resided in Alcoa for the duration of their marriage. They had a blended family, with Kenny bringing three daughters and Jill bringing three sons to the marriage. They also had two grandchildren. They attended church at Vineyard Springbrook.

Kenny moved around as a child, ending up in Sevier County, where he graduated high school. He joined the United States Marine Corps after school. He was proud of his service and proud to be a Marine.

Kenny was a commercial truck driver by trade. He worked for Ceva Logistics for the last 33 years. He had the greatest work ethic, having never called in sick in all his years of employment. He won the Grand Pride award out of thousands of employees.

Kenny loved to fish with his fishing buddies, his brother Johnny, and his grandson Camden. He was affectionately known as Pa to his grandchildren. He had a thirst for knowledge, especially when it came to health, fitness, ketogenic diets, and anything science- or space-related. He was always trying to better himself. He was such a force of strength, dedication, and loyalty, yet, on the other hand, he was easygoing, lighthearted, and a goofball. There was never a bad time to be had when he was around. He had the quickest wit of anyone around. He had a sense of humor that was inappropriate at times and annoyingly funny. There was nothing he couldn't do. He had willpower strong enough to take on any task. If someone told him he couldn't, he responded with, "Challenge accepted." Kenny was a bright light! The world feels darker without him in it.

Kenny Oldham was preceded in death by his father, John Oldham Sr., and his sister, Lisa LeFort.

He leaves behind to grieve his loss his wife, Jill Finley Oldham of Alcoa; daughters: Jessica Newman (Brandon) of Knoxville, Lydia Oldham, and Lavin Oldham, both of Maryville; sons: Walker Oldham and Nash Trusty of Alcoa and Colton Smith of Knoxville; mom Frances Oldham of Maryville; grandchildren: Camden Smith of Harriman and Lainey Newman of Knoxville; sisters: Therese Oldham of Maryville and Renee Hill (Stephen) of Knoxville; brother: John Oldham Jr. (Tina) of Maryville; special friend and first cousin Dennis Horton (Sandy) of Townsend; two aunts; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
