Kathleen Harvey

Kathleen Harvey, age  70, of Rockford, died Monday, August 25, 2025, at UT Medical Center.

Kathleen dedicated more than 20 years as a nurse’s aide at Blount Memorial Hospital, where she was known for her kindness, compassion, and steady care for others. She was a loving wife to her husband, Dan, for 8 years, and he fondly describes her as “the best woman I’ve ever had in my life.”

Kathleen had a gift in the kitchen and spent much of her life cooking, creating, and writing down hundreds of her own recipes. She found joy in simple pleasures like camping and the companionship of her beloved dogs. In her younger years, she loved the thrill of speed, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spent time on the water with various watersports.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Norma Jean Akins.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Dan Harvey.

No ceremonies are planned at the present time.
