Johnny 'Big John' Lee Word

Johnny 'Big John' Lee Word, age 64, of Maryville, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the family home. Johnny worked for Anderson Truss Company for 20+ years.  He was a hard worker; strong and honest.  He was a daddy to everybody  and had a presence in the room.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abner Word and Mildred Shaffer Word.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Patty Word; children, Adam Word, Mandy Randolph; stepchildren, Billy Holaday (Laura), Joey Holaday (Becky); Cathie Holaday; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Donnie ‘Haney’ Word; sisters, Wanda Boone(Rick), Emma ‘Susie’ Moore; nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbor Rick, and many friends.

Memorial Ceremony will be 3:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel.
