Johnny Lamonte

Johnny LaMonte, age 82, of Seymour, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the family home. He was a fun-loving man and father who never met a stranger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. LaMonte served as a missionary in Papua New Guinea with Maranatha Baptist Missions of Natchez, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean LaMonte; parents, Pete and Josephine LaMonte. Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey (Denise) LaMonte of Pace, FL, Joel (Penny) LaMonte of Sevierville; daughter, Michelle (Gary) Carpenter of Seymour; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Loui LaMonte of Walker, LA; Sam (Clara) LaMonte of New Castle, IN, and Tony LaMonte; sisters, Mary Bussen of Hammond, LA; Ann Byer of Collinsville, IL Graveside Ceremony will be 2:30 P.M., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Floral Memory Gardens, Albany, GA.
