John Merdith Ellis Jr.

John Merdith Ellis Jr., age 59, of Maryville, died Monday, October 16, 2023 at Blount Memorial Hospital. 

John worked at Weston Paving for many years.  He enjoyed rides with his family, as well as fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ,John and Shirley Ellis Sr.; sisters, Angel and Teresa; son-in-law, Mark.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sandy Ellis;  daughters, Brittany Ellis (Angel), Kimberly Ellis (Allen), Kalie Cannon (Ronnie), Christina Ellis; brother, Preston Ellis (Laura); sister, Valerie Ellis;  grandchildren, Scott, Shelby, Shawn, John, Serena, Alex, Quentin, ,Aidan, Atreyu; brother-in-law, Harry Moneyhun (Traci); sisters-in-law, Tammy Johnson (Randy), Sherry Mims (Matthew); many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and beloved dog, Bobo.

Funeral ceremony will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Bob Nuchols officiating.
