Jody Brian Johnston, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on 12/14/25.He was born on 11/06/60 in Maryville. TN.
He was preceded in death by parents Warren G. and Margret Hilda Johnston, sister Gale Johnston.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Ross Johnston, and his children, Rhyne Johnston(Ansley),Sydney Harrell(Landon) & Gavin Ross; sister, Carol Smith; nieces and nephews; special friends, James "Fuzz" Asbury, Lance Curtis, Kenneth "Freight" McCollum and Mark "Kram" Myer.
Jody was a devoted and beloved husband, father, brother and friend who loved his wife, children and family. Some of Jody's most fond moments were spent enjoying time with family, friends, especially gatherings by his pool. He loved listening to and collecting music, playing guitar, aviation, pitbulls & mustangs. He was a collector of many things. He was an avid fan of Eddie Van Halen. Jody was of Christian faith. His faith was an important part of his life. He was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Alcoa. Jody took great pride in his work at Standard Aero where he enjoyed a nearly 25 year career in aviation being considered a Legacy team member. He was a beloved friend and respected by many. Jody's laughter, love and spirit will live on with those who knew him.
Services will be held on Sunday 12/21/25 , 2-4pm Beginning with receiving of friends followed by a Memorial Service officiated by Kenneth "Freight" McCollum at Faithway Fellowship, 4076 Sevierville Road, Maryville
