James Azer “Jimmy” “Uncle Bib” Richardson, age 72, of Maryville, died Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the family home.
Jimmy “Uncle Bib” Richardson was a man who left a mark on everyone he met. Known for always having his hat on, he was rarely seen without it, a signature that matched his larger-than-life personality. He loved to fish and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, approaching each day with honesty, humor, and a plainspoken, no-filter charm that endeared him to all who knew him. If Uncle Bib cared about you, you were part of his club, and you knew it. There was no better man to have in your corner.
A brick mason by trade, Jimmy was a hard worker his entire life, building both structures and relationships with equal dedication. He lived simply, loved deeply, and led a life full of integrity and purpose.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Richardson; mother, Lillian Lane; sisters, Dovie, Betty, and Paulette; and brother, Jerry.
He is survived by his sons, William McMillian (Candice), Kevin McMillian, James McMillian (Amanda), and Johnny Lynn McMillian; grandchildren, Skyler, Jasmine, Alisha, Briley, Nathaniel, Mackenzi, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Maelynn, Lilly, London, and Mason; sister, Dorothy Dockery; and nephew, Jackie Lee Richardson.
