Jerry Wayne Cardin

Jerry Wayne Cardin, 79, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was much loved and will be remembered as kind and giving. He lived a simple life and wished for a simple departure. Therefore, per his request, there will be no service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and John Cardin; brothers Eddie, Charles, Reed, and Clyde Cardin; Guy Huling; nephew Ethan Brackett; and niece Emily Hatcher Lannom.

Survivors include his best friend and caretaker, Don Webb; sister Vivian Hatcher (Fred Tew); brothers John, Dennis, and Bill Cardin; nephew Martin Hatcher (Barbara); niece and nephews Jennifer, Garrett, and Braden Brackett, and Lawford Hatcher; Jimmy and Cora Webb; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his special canine companion, Scarlett.
