Jean Larue Edinger, age 96, of Maryville, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at at Lafollette Medical Center.
Jean had a love for Elvis, a passion for cleaning, and a talent for crafting. She was an avid knitter and decorated for every holiday. She created beautiful beaded ornaments and ceramic Christmas trees that her family still cherishes. Though small in stature, she was always described as “feisty.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Edinger; parents, Rodger and Becky Zeiber; her daughter, Becky Selig; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Reed; sons, Steven (Barbara) Edinger, Melvin Edinger Jr., and Rodger Edinger; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Her cremated remains will be entombed next to her late husband, Melvin, at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Knoxville. Cremation Done Properly under the care of Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation, Wildwood (865-984-5959). Online Book of Memories available at dotsonfuneralhome.com.
