Jean Shirley Cutshaw Carr

Jean Shirley Cutshaw Carr, age 72, of Maryville, died on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Park West Medical Center.

Jean was quiet, hardworking, and devoted to her family. She spent many years as Vice President of Finance at Chroma Graphics and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She shared a special bond with her mother and cared faithfully for her husband, Paul. Jean was known for her love of animals. She also enjoyed spending time with close friends and going shopping. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Carr; parents, Lank and Sue Cutshaw; and sister, Wanda Hicks (Norman).

She is survived by her sister, Brenda Fox (Claude); niece, Jackie Keeble (Dana); nephew, Jim Hicks (Carmen); several great-nieces; and many close friends, including Brenda S., Robin, Jim, Randall, Shirley, Allison, Steve, and Linda.

Memorial donations may be made to the Blount County Animal Center in honor of Jean’s lifelong love for animals.
