James C. Allen

James C. Allen, age 83, of Seymour, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the home of his daughter. James enjoyed music, playing the guitar, and loved his family dearly. He was also a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Allen; brothers, Clyde Bobby, and Junior Allen; sister, Margie Allen. Survivors include his sons, James Allen Jr., Michael Allen, both of Seymour; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Willie Allen of Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and James Appleby of Kingston, Robin and David Barrett of Ohio, Penny and Joel Lamonte of Seymour, Karen and Ronnie Branam of Kingston; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Roy ‘Red' Allen of Knoxville, brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Joanne Allen of Virginia; brother, Charlie Allen; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Roy Maples of Florida; sister Patsy Williams of Georgia. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with Mr. John Lamonte, officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon on Tuesday at Dotson Funeral Home.
