Jack Vaughn McCroskey, age 91, of Wildwood, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at Life Care Center of Blount County. Jack loved spending time outdoors and was especially passionate about tending his garden. A true protector of his family, he was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Johnnie, with whom he shared 69 and a half years of marriage. Jack also had a lifelong appreciation for classic cars — he was proud to call himself a “Ford Man.” Jack was also a proud veteran, serving honorably in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie.
Survivors include his daughters, Pam Hines (Mark) and Betsy Cagle (Curtis); grandchildren, Ashlan Morelock (Davis), Jessie Johnson (Brian), and Tyler Cagle (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Emma Ann Morelock, Jefferson Morelock, Madelynn Cagle, and Jackson Cagle; brother, George McCroskey; and sister, Nell Kiger.
