Gloria (Ragonese) Watson

Gloria Watson (June 1931 – November 2022)

Gloria Ragonese Watson, age 91, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2022 at Asbury Place.

Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James K. Watson, Gloria is survived by her sons: Jim (Melinda) Watson and Dan (Sherry) Watson; grandchildren: Sarah (Ken) Conrade, Noah (Wes)Meier, Andrew (Niki) Watson and Michael Watson; and great grandchildren: Brooke, Cooper and Layla.

Gloria was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the youngest of 8 siblings. After graduating from high school in 1949, she enlisted in the United States Air Force where she was a photographer.  Gloria retired from USAF after serving 18 months so that she could marry Sargent Watson.

Family will gather for a private graveside service on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee (P.O. Box 22482, Knoxville, TN 37933,sbret.com). Gloria found companionship in the many dogs that found their way into the Watson household over the years.
