Gerald Davis Whitehead

Gerald Davis Whitehead, 86, of Ringgold, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday June 14th, 2026. He was born in Maryville, TN, on February 22nd, 1940. A son of the late George and Edith Davis Whitehead.

Gerald has lived in the North GA area since 1970 and was a member of the Rock Spring Methodist Church. Gerald was a childhood member of Logan’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Wildwood, TN. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in engineering. Gerald interned with TVA which led to a full-time position where he worked until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Jerry and Tony Whitehead; two brothers, Marion and Paul Whitehead.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Caroline Irwin Whitehead; daughter, Annette (Steve) Rogers; two grandchildren, Sam (Marisa) Rogers; Sara (Robbie) Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rock Spring Methodist Church or Logan’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Wildwood.

A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Whitehead will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday June 17th, at Rock Spring Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Lowery officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends and family in the fellowship hall with light refreshments. Interment will take place at 11 AM on Thursday, June 18th, at Logan's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
