Emma 'Susie' Sue Moore

Emma 'Susie' Sue Moore, age 71, of Maryville, died on Friday, November 7 at the family home.

She is remembered most for being a good mom and a true friend to everyone she met. She loved to chat and never met a stranger. Susie worked hard all her life, from the carpet mills in Dalton, Georgia, to many years as a cashier at Kroger. She loved to travel with her family, especially her sister, and cherished the time they spent together. Her caring heart, friendly spirit, and love for her family will be forever treasured by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Moore; her parents, Abner Word and Mildred Shaffer Word; and her brother Johnny Word.

She is survived by her sons Mitch Moore (Melissa), and Mike Moore; grandchildren Grant Moore, Logan Moore and Brycen Moore; brother, Donnie ‘Haney’ Word; sister, Wanda Boone (Rick)
