On April 30, 2026 Don Hafley joined his wife Linda in Heaven. Born May 4,1941 he was just a few days shy of his 85th birthday. Don and Linda were Married in October 1961 and had two children Robin Hafley Farmer and Johnathan Scott Hafley. He had on son in law Greg Farmer and two granddaughters Taylor Farmer McMillan and husband Daniel and Kayden Breanna Hafley and two sisters Mary Evelyn Hafley and Phyllis Wooten, and two brothers Mike and Larry Hafley of Georgia. He was proceeded in death by his Father Robert Hafley and his Aunt and uncle who raised him Hazel and Andy Hafley. Don dedicated years of his life coaching basketball and football at Alcoa parks and recreation and was the Baseball Manager/ coach of the 1985 Eagleton Little League All Star Team to the Little League World Series and finished 3rd in the world, he was very proud of the work he did coaching not only his son Scott for years but all of the other kids and parents he met over the years. He was a graduate of Alcoa High School and a member of Oak View Baptist Church. He retired from General Electric then worked for Blount County Sheriff's Office as a civil process server and then spent his last few years there at the front door. I think he was most proud of his time at the sheriff's department, he enjoyed being a part of the brotherhood and all it represented. Daddy loved horses he and momma both did they spent years showing Tennessee walking Horses and had a reserve World Champion "Delights Last G-Man" a beautiful flax mane and tail palomino. My family and I pray that Daddy is finally at peace, knowing that he is with momma again I'm sure that he is. Services are still pending please keep us in your prayers as we navigate this loss.
