Dianna Douglas Obituary

Dianna Fay Douglas, affectionately known as "Nanny," passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Rockford, Tennessee, at the age of 68. Born on December 22, 1956, in Lafollette, Tennessee, Dianna grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and the steadfast faith of her parents, Amos Troy and Eula Lee Hatmaker.

From her earliest days, Dianna brought joy and laughter to those around her. She was quick-witted, loved a good joke, and made it her mission to always brighten a room with her smile. She grew up in the United Methodist Church in Eloise, Florida, where her father was the preacher, instilling in her a lifelong sense of community and spiritual devotion.

In 1993, Dianna married the love of her life, William Lonnie Douglas, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing in 2024. Dianna dedicated 25 years to Walmart, forming lasting friendships and touching countless lives with her compassionate spirit and humor.

Dianna's heart belonged above all to her family. She delighted in family reunions, treasured moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and always made time to spoil her beloved dogs. She is survived by her loving children: Toni Christine Sumner, Tonya Candice Penney Allard, Tamara Courtney Barnes, Tiara Lanae Douglas, Christopher Lonnie Douglas; her brother, George David Hatmaker; and her sister, Carolyn Sue Hutcheson, 16 Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Grandchildren.  Her Grandsons, Dylan Lee Wilson and Ty Ryan Penney were tremendous support for her, showing her love and compassion everyday.  She now rests with her husband, parents, and is fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Her passions included Hallmark shows, shopping trips to the mall—never without a pretzel in hand—getting her nails done, and bargain hunting at the flea market. Dianna also found inspiration and companionship attending The Living Room Bible study group in Louisville, TN.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Dianna's laughter, love, and light will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who loved her.
