Clarence Clay Hawkins, age 88, of Maryville, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. He was an auctioneer and the owner/operator of Hawkins Antiques in Maryville and New York. Having a great love for God, he was a member of New Hope Church. Clarence wanted everyone to know that when he left this world, he would be resting in the arms of Jesus. Clarence was a World War II veteran, serving honorably in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Patsy Hawkins; son, Clarence Stephen Hawkins; great grandson, Andrew Malone; parents, William and Minnie Hawkins; sister, Johnnie Faye Condit. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, , Laura and CB Radford of Maryville, Karen and Ken Keller of Tellico, and Lynda Denham of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Hank, Brandon, Emmy, Jeremy, and Amanda Radford; Dillon Luke, and Lauren Keller; Melissa Lane, Jim Giles, Brian Thompson, Rosie Shope, and several great grandchildren; special cousin, Raymond Strickland. Funeral service will be 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, 605 Dotson Memorial Road, Maryville, with the Rev. Mike Parker, officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 16 2015 at Hopewell Springs Cemetery, Madisonville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the church.
