Charlis Jean (Smith) Hord

Charlis Jean Hord (Smith), age 61, of Maryville, died Monday, March 26, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Charlis was a very friendly & outgoing person, who enjoyed talking & visiting with all people, even though she struggled with the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. She appreciated all of nature and enjoyed watching nature shows on TV and she also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds throughout the year. She also enjoyed taking care of her 3 rescue dogs and loved them dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Margaret Hord; sister, Twyla Hord. Survivors include her son, Daniel Smith of Maryville; sister, Kathy (Charlie) Goulding of Wexford, PA; beloved dogs, Max, Skeeter, and Hailee. Graveside Ceremony will be 11:00 AM., Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville.
