Brenda Faye (Arwood) Abbott

Brenda Faye Abbott, age 81, of Alcoa, died Monday, August 12, 2024 at Blount Memorial Hospital. 

Brenda could be described as many things:  helpful, caring, happy, smart, saavy, a class act, and even “a pistol”.  She had a presence about her and did things her way.  She enjoyed  traveling (especially to the beach), reading, cooking, and especially loved her animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Nila Arwood; infant children, Mathew Tyler and Wendy Leigh; sister-in-law, Paulette Arwood; infant brother, Donald Ray; nephew, Warren Boling.

Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Abbott (Dave Maynard); sons, Mark Patton, John Cargyle (Stephanie); grandchildren, Joshua, Caroline, & Patrick Cargyle; Will Patton, Annie May Harris; sisters, Judy Williams and Margie Rogers; brother, Kenneth Arwood; beloved dog, Mr. Wiggles; granddog, Smoky Leigh.
