Billy Howard Lewelling, age 87, of Wildwood, died Friday, August 3, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Billy was a hardworking man who loved doing God's work. He was a member of McMahan Baptist Church and regularly attended Tarklin Valley Baptist Church, where he was involved in music ministry. He was a devoted father and grandfather and adored his kids. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, honorably serving as a Sergeant in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Rona Lewelling sister, Mrs. June Bohannan. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Geneva Lewelling; son, Bill Jr. (Madonna) Lewelling of Sevierville; daughters, Joyce (Larry) Brackins of Pigeon Forge, Betty J. Monroe of Maryville; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Georgianne (David) Householder of Sevierville; special nurse, Barbie. Mr. Lewelling was cremated and his remains were laid to rest at the East TN Veterans's Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 P.M., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Tarklin Valley Baptist Church, 8827 Jett Road, Knoxville, with the Rev. Jaason Presley, officiating.
