Anita Kaye Debuty, age 71, of Maryville, died Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the family home.
Anita enjoyed traveling and going places, especially spending time at the beach. She was known for her organization and attention to detail in everything she did. Anita loved animals, particularly cats, who brought her great joy and companionship. She adored her kids and grandkids. She was also known for her sharp wit and sarcasm—some might even say she was a bit ornery at times—and she kept those around her laughing with her humor and honesty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Blanche Pearson; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Al Debuty; sons, Jeremy T. Flynn (Melissa), Adam S. Debuty (Jill), and Brian Debuty (Rhoda); grandchildren, Logan G. Flynn (Nicholette), Zachary T. Flynn, Jake Debuty, and Alex Debuty; beloved niece, Jama Stover; and several more nieces and nephews.
Graveside Ceremony will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Hopewell Baptist Cemetery with Jason Stubblefield officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Monday, November 10, 2025, at Dotson Funeral Home & Cremation.
