Michael 'Mike' Barker

Michael Barker, age 59, of Seymour.  We have lost the heart and soul of our family. Mike went home to be with the Lord doing one of the things he enjoyed most, biking with his son-in-law on a new trail on the parkway. He suffered a heart attack and despite the assistance provided by many compassionate people who jumped in and provided CPR, Mike passed away Sunday 5/17/2020. Mike is in heaven hugging his Mom, chatting with his Dad and playing golf with Uncle Tom. He will be forever looking over his wife whom he loved and doted on for 43 years, Tracie Barker. He was deeply loved by his three children and their spouses Bethany (Philip) Kostowicz, Samuel (Amanda) Barker, and Melanie (Nathan) Thomas whom he set an incredible example for, and his four beautiful grandchildren, Kyle, Korinne, Wyatt, and Alexis,  as well as many others that he met during his life journey. Mike was the guy who was ALWAYS doing for others with a smile on his face. He was a loving, giving husband, father, Papa, brother, son and friend. Mike had a quick wit and enjoyed a good prank. He was in great shape and loved to play sports. Mike could fix or build anything. He absolutely never quit living, working or giving until his heart stopped. He will be deeply missed by so many.
