Carl 'Randall' McCarter

Carl Randal McCarter passed away unexpectedly on December 14th due to complications from Alzheimer's at the age of 79.

Randal spent many years as a builder, owning his own company for a time, and spent all of his life farming, cultivating the fields that he loved.  Randal was a good man who loved God and a good laugh, but did not suffer fools.  He will be missed by all.

Randal is preceded in death by his beloved parents Ruby and Carl McCarter and his sister Carlee Wilson (wife of Bill Wilson).  He is survived by two sisters,Mary Jo Dickinson (wife of Paul Dickinson, deceased) and Eva Clark (wife of John Clark and mother of Matt Clark, nephew).  He is also survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Maxine McCarter and his two loving daughters:  Marty Sands (wife to James Sands) and Kolloia Hallcox (wife to Jarrett Hallcox).

Randal had a large family, including 6 grandchildren:  Josh Sands (husband of Mykee Sands), Brianna Walker (wife of Tyler Walker), Jordan Sands (husband of Kailyn Sands) and Kaylie, Jetta, and Kolton Hallcox.

He also had 6 great grandchildren:  Jaxon, Sylas, Jude, Adelyn, Bella, and Ellee.

Funeral Services will be held at Prospect Baptist Church on Saturday, December 17th.  Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will begin promptly at 1:00 pm with the burial immediately following.  Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.  Arrangements entrusted to Dotson Funeral Home, Wildwood.  (865-984-5959)  Online Condolences- www.dotsonfuneralhome.com
